501st OG ( Skywalker OG x Rare Dankness #1) Cannabis Strain Review

Hello readers! It’s been a long time since I did a Cannabis Strain Review for Ismoke. Those of you that remember the first incarnation of ismoke will remember my regular strain reviews.

I’ve been lucky enough to travel to some amazing places with better laws and better access to cannabis. On my journey, I have been looking for some of the strains which “do it” for me. The ones which have the right level of cannabinoids to treat my MS but which also have incredible terpene profiles. In 2013 I was in Denver, among the ridiculous amounts of strains on offer a few stood out.

This cannabis strain review is about one such strain. From the breeders at Rare Dankness comes 501st OG…

Classic OG spice and fruit, with a delicious citrus edge. The smell you expect from the Skywalker OG but with an added funky deep berry pungent. Really earthy and Dank.

Cannabis Strain Review Flavour

Very tasty, smooth and sweeter than the smell, almost metallic. The inhale is OG spice, the exhale leaves a delicious earthy sweetness in your mouth which keeps developing. The taste is probably best about 15 seconds after exhaling. Mind numbingly tasty.

Nice, relaxing and pain relieving. As a 50/50 hybrid strain this has a real good balance of effects. It is great for pain and it seems to be one of those strains which you wouldn’t actually mind if you only had this. Usually, I would need a balance of uplifting strains in the morning to help reduce my pain but mean I can still function and then a heavy sleepy strain in the evening. The beauty about the 501st OG is that she fill both of these functions nicely.

Overall a really amazing strain which stood out. When you have a strain choice of 50+ flowers and one of them stand out then you know you want to try it again, that’s for sure.
