ISMOKE Competition Time (Even More Free Cannabis Seeds to Give Away)

This Week, ISMOKE Magazine are giving you yet another chance to get your hands on some free cannabis seeds!

Oh, did we mention this strain is yet another cannabis cup winner?

Since the days of the early skunks we have primarily used Sativa and Indica hybrids to produce new types of cannabis seeds. Although they are a mix of both, usually one trait will shine more than the other, which we refer to as the dominant trait. While playing around with genetics, some growers in Spain came across a Sativa/Indica hybrid which flowered to the full psychoactive effects of a pure Sativa. The smoke from this cannabis strain was so big, so gargantuan, it would eventually earn the title of Moby Dick.

Our Royal Moby is a Dutch twist on a Spanish classic, brought to you in a feminized seed. Being a sativa dominant plant, it will grow big and strong throughout the flowering period. Indoors it can reach 2 metres, outdoors in the sun it will grow to over 3 metres tall. It grows exactly as you would expect a sativa to, with long stretchy branches, and lots of buds all over.

The size of Royal Moby during its growth is rewarded with the yield that can be harvested. Indoor growers can expect 60 g per plant or 600 g per square metre under a 600w light. Grown outdoors it needs lots of sun, like along the Mediterranean; however, it can also be grown in extremely hot, tropical environments. In these conditions, these 3 m tall plants can grow up to 1000 g per plant. In both cases, indoors/outdoors, Royal Moby likes to grow big and will need lots of good nourishment to help it.

The only Indica trait to carry through in this hybrid is a short flowering period of 9-10 weeks. For commercial growers who can afford a little more time and room, Royal Moby is the perfect option for those willing to make a sacrifice for a better smoke.

The high that comes from smoking this is beyond astronomical, a pure psychedelic experience. Royal Moby is amongst the strongest THC-bearing cannabis plants we sell, and it’s truly felt with every smoke of a joint or bong.

Royal Queen Seeds is amongst the top rapidly-growing cannabis seeds breeders in Europe, with more than 20 years of experience in growing cannabis seeds in the Netherlands.

All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning, is complete a two minute survey about ISMOKE Magazine for market research to help improve the site.

Northern Lights Cannabis Strain Review Plus Your Chance to Win Cananbis Seeds!

This week more cannabis seeds are up for grabs – The Famous “Northern Lights” strain, courtesy of Royal Queen Seeds

Strain Review:

When it comes to strains that have laid down their mark on the cannabis plant genetics that are around today, there are few names that can be mentioned as often as Northern Lights. The exact makeup of the Northern Lights heritage is thought to have come out of west coast America, originally from eleven different seeds. Each of these varieties have been bred, inbred and hybridised so much over the years that the exact genetic remains a mystery. However, one thing that is certain is that Northern Lights has been the basis for many of the award-winning classics in the history of cannabis.

According to the legend, Northern Lights was an exclusive Indica plant from Afghanistan, although some of the original eleven plants were said to contain Thai genetics. Today we bring you our feminized Northern Lights which is still an indica dominant hybrid, but carries a lot of sativa in its leaf structure.

Our Northern Lights Feminized will grow as high as 1.2 m tall indoors, but it will stretch to over 2 m tall outside. It will produce relatively wider internode spacing, with long thin leafs, demonstrating its sativa background. Upon flowering is when its Afghan heritage comes to life, with dense, resin-covered nuggets which form all over the plant; however, it will produce a giant main cola.

It will yield on average 40-50 g per plant, or about 500 g per square metre under a 600w light. Grown outdoors, it can give as much as 100 g per plant, but will need the nice warm environment of southern Spain, California or North Africa.  Placed in full sunlight and given enough food and water, Northern Lights will grow into a tree and give excellent results for yield.

Flowering is complete after 8 weeks, although some growers report harvesting after just 7 weeks.  During the flowering process, all buds are formed with a light, resin-covered surface which starts to glow towards the end of the grow.

Northern Lights is simply one of those knockout smokes that guarantees a couchlock session for the next few minutes. The Afghan heritage really shines through in the smoke, and anyone looking for that strong stone need seek no further than Northern Lights Feminized.

To be in with a chance of winning Northern Light Cannabis Seeds, just answer the following question:

Here’s some info about Shining Silver Haze:

Ever since a pair of brothers started breeding Sativas from all over the world back in the 70s, cannabis smokers have been truly grateful for the existence of a type of plant called Haze. Originally, this was the culmination of years of breeding thousands of seeds from Colombia, Mexico, Thailand and South India. Eventually this haze genetic would make its way over to Holland for further hybridisation to form the pinnacle of modern day Sativa strains.

Upon arriving in Holland, along with the now classic skunk varieties, a pair of breeders went to work to find that super hybrid which could capture the sweet taste and high of a haze, but the short flowering period of an Indica. Using a combination of Haze, Skunk and Northern Lights genetics, one of these breeders would end up with one of the first haze classics, Super Silver Haze.

Since then, these early genetics have been spread out and hybridised over the years, from which we bring you one of our top varieties at Royal Queen Seeds, Shining Silver Haze. Our haze hybrid will grow to about 1 m tall, very short for a haze, indoors, but can stretch to over 2 m outside. Grown outdoors, it will need a lot of sun, even a greenhouse, in regions like Spain, Italy or North Africa.

Our Shining Silver Haze Feminized will yield on average 35-45 g per plant, or up to 450 g square metre under a 600w light. Flowering time is 9-10 weeks, which is really quite short for a haze plant. There are very few haze varieties which can produce that sweet taste and strong high of a haze in less than 10 weeks, but Shining Silver Haze is definitely one of them.

The smoke from Shining Silver Haze is simply fantastic. Smokers will love the instant head high that comes with every hit of a joint or bong. The haze effect will go straight to your brain and put you in an actual haze of thoughts. The taste of the smoke is just a pleasing with a super sweet flavour that makes your taste buds moist with anticipation.

Congratulations to the winner of the last competition to win Amnesia Haze seeds! The seeds will be shipped tomorrow.

ISMOKE Competition – Fancy Winning Yourself Some Amnesia Haze Seeds?

Here at ISMOKE Magazine we are all about giving back to our readership. We’ve teamed up with Royal Queen Seeds, a Dutch Cannabis Seed Bank, to bring you a weekly chance to win 3 cannabis seeds.

For the first competition there are 3 Amnesia Haze seeds up for grabs for one lucky ISMOKE reader:

After the haze genetics came to Holland and several hybrids were made, an American expat would later combine one of these hybrids with a male derived from old school haze seeds creating the Amnesia Haze. We felt our collection of marijuana seeds would not be complete without one of the best hazes to ever be smoked, so we got a hold of some Amnesia and made feminised seeds.

Our Amnesia haze is a well maintained plant growing just over a metre tall, to about 1.2m. She can be grown outdoors but will require hot weather like Australia, North Africa and California, however may need to be grown in a greenhouse due to her long flower period.

Amnesia haze is one of our best yielding cannabis strains, producing 50-60g per plant with up to 600g per metre squared under a 600w light. She can produce big outside, with full sun, reaching as much as 200g per plant. However extra care should be taken outdoors as this is a sensitive plant, so problems with weather, bugs or irrigation will harm your final harvest.

The only down side with Amnesia haze is the long flower time required of 12 weeks. Although this is high enough to make most commercial growers run for the hills, true cannabis connoisseurs will find the wait more than worth it. Amnesia haze is suitable for both hydro and soil grows, sea/screen of green too.

So after 4 months of growing, 2 weeks of drying and curing and your finally ready to smoke the Amnesia haze that has taken you so long to grow. After your 1st joint or bong we are certain you will be more than satisfied with the smoke after waiting such a long time. Our Amnesia Haze really is one of the best cannabis strains in our entire stock.

Every hit comes with a truly psychedelic head high, likely to send any user straight into the astrosphere. The flavour is fresh and fruity like you expect from a haze which only makes the smoke so much more enjoyable. Smokers are warned this is a strong smoke and, as the name suggests, users can often turn their brains off completely after a session. – Royal Queen Seeds

To enter, just like ISMOKE Magazine on Facebook, and share the competition picture (link here) on your facebook wall. The winner will be picked one week from now and notified (privately) on 28th May. We value your privacy, and so of course we won’t print who we are shipping the seeds to unless you are happy for us to do so.

You must like ISMOKE Magazine on facebook and share the photo to be entered in the competition.
